Home with the Family May 2010

Here are our recent pictures from facebook. Noelle is adjusting very well and is one happy sweet girl. She's making friends quickly, enjoying her brothers , trying new foods and she likes the pool. A big thanks to everyone for giving her new outfits and special hand-me-downs. We haven't really had to buy her much and it is so fun to get dressed each day and think of you all :)

Home at last

So we made it home. It was almost 1am by the time we got home. We played in Noelle's room and introduced her to her pets Bailey and Muffin. The doggies love her and she loves them, especially Muffin. Kyle and Noelle spent a little time in Kyle's room after Sean and Ryan went to sleep and she had fun high fiving him and bopping him on the head. It is so nice to be back in our own house and to watch the boys interact with their new sister. It was the perfect way to end the marathon 30 hour trip back home.

Mother's Day Morning

Sunday (Mother's Day morning) was our first morning with Noelle home. We were up till 3am the night before because we got in to Tampa so late. So in the morning Noelle was still sleeping at 10:30 am and the boys wanted to wake her up. Here they are peeking in her crib while she's still sleeping and then playing after she woke up. It was the best morning. The best Mother's Day yet.

Sleeping and Eating

Noelle is sleeping and Eating very well. At night she sleeps in her crib all night from about 8pm till 8am and in the afternoons she naps in her big girl bed in her room with Mom for 2 hours. No problems sleeping as long as she has her Starbucks bear with her! And she loves breakfast especially on the days Dad is home to eat and play peekaboo with her.

Hangin w/ the boys

So around here there is a sister now! She loves hangin out with and being in the middle of her brothers. She also loves it when they feed her. She fits right in with our whole family. It feels so nice to finally have this sweet girl with us all the time now. We have each longed to have her here for years and now we are enjoying every minute of life a bit more than we knew possible.

Strolling and a Treat

We went for a stroll at Canal Park. The boys love pushing Noelle in the stroller. On the way home I asked Ryan if he'd share a few sips of his McDonald's milkshake with Noelle. He suggested we get her her own. So here she is sucking it down! Ryan and Sean thought she may get a brain freeze she was slurping so fast. She only ended up drinking about 1/4 of it so I had a nice treat when we got home.

Publix and Pediatrician

We had to see Dr. Hasell our pediatrician. Noelle was a trooper and didn't need any shots which she was thrilled about. She had fun playing with the toy kitchen there. Afterwards we did some grocery shopping at Publix and she got to have her first cart ride and free cookie. She's having fun so far with her new daily excursions.

Noelle's First Little League Game

We went to Kyle's game on Monday to watch him play. He did an awesome job pitching! Noelle had a wonderful time clapping whenver people clapped, exploring the dugout and hanging bats, playing with the other siblings there and basically running all over the place. So glad she likes it up there as we spend lots of time at the fields.

1st Trip to the Mall

We hit the mall on Thursday. Noelle isn't much of a shopper (yet!) but she liked the little kids play area.

Spring Open House at School

We had fun at the boys' school Open house. Sean and Ryan did great in their performances. Noelle had fun dancing to their musical performances. There were tons of families there so she got to meet many new friends who have been anxious to meet her. Many who have known our plans to adopt Noelle since the very start over 4 years ago.
I think it is safe to say we are enjoying our 15 minutes of fame around here as it seems we were being spotted a mile away all night haha. It was also great to see how well the boys have done this year in school. Noelle made herself right at home in Sean's classroom. It was a fun night.

Ride Home

Noelle looked right at home in her car seat with her 3 brothers by her side on the ride home from the airport around midnight Sat...the best beginning to a Mother's Day! They are so happy to have their sister in the car with them and it has been this way all week. They fight over who gets to sit next to her. I wonder if it will last?!?!
